A multiple-languages online survey: Effects of Home Confinement on Multiple Lifestyle Behaviours During the COVID-19 Outbreak (ECLB-COVID19)

In March 2020, the World Health Organization (WHO) made the assessment that COVID-19 can be characterized as a pandemic. WHO and public health authorities around the world are acting to contain the COVID-19 outbreak through home confinement. However, this time of crisis is generating stress throughout the population.

Leaded by the Institute of Sport Science at Otto-von-Guericke Univresity, the present survey aim to assess, in many countries, the effects of home confinement on multiple lifestyle behaviours during the COVID-19 outbreak.

We are therefore, inviting you to take this survey. Your valuable time and feedback will help us better understand changes in lifestyle behaviours during the COVID-19 confinement period.Such findings may help doctors/scientists/engineers to provide efficient and effective suggestions/solutions (e.g., ICT-based solutions) to mitigate the possible unwanted psychosocial effects of home confinement.

Die diesjährigen Gewinner der Bachelorprojektpräsentation beschäftigten sich mit Projektthemen aus verschiedenen Feldern der Sportwissenschaft. So wurde der erste Platz an die Entwicklung von inklusionspädagogischen Spielplatzgeräten vergeben. Das zweitplatzierte Projektteam beschäftigte sich mit den Auswirkungen von visuellem Training auf ausgewählte sportmotorische und kognitive Parameter und der dritte Platz ging an den Studenten, der die Einflüsse der Akustik auf das Schlagverhalten von Tischtennisspieler*innen untersuchte.

Der VGBS e.V. ist ein junger, gemeinnütziger und sozial engagierter Sportverein – sowohl für sportlich Ungeübte bzw. Einsteiger, aber auch für erfahrene Sportlerinnen und Sportler.
Das Sportangebote ist mit sportwissenschaftlichem Hintergrund erarbeitet und umfasst den Gesundheits-, Rehabilitations-, Senioren- und Freizeitsport, aber auch Tanz-, Kinder- und Betriebssport sowie Kursangebote.

In the frame of the Germano-Tunisian project, titled "Promoting Engineering & Digital Technology for Physical and Mental Health: PDTH", offered and financed by the DAAD, a group of young researchers from the Institute of Sport Science at Otto-Von-Guericke University have participated in "Hacking Health" events in Sfax, Tunisia from the 11th to 13th October 2019 and won the second prize for developing the idea of an innovative devices to “VRlize” rehabilitation for patients with Parkinson‘s disease entitled "VR-Active".

Thereafter, another group of bachelor and master students from the Sport Science Department have succesfully participated in the International Conference on Digital Health Technologies "ICDHT 2019" from the 9th to the 11th of December 2019 in Hammamet, Tunisia under the supervision of the project manager Prof. Dr. Anita Hoekelmann and the coordinator of the project Dr. Achraf Ammar.
